Rockwell hardness tester maintenance

- Jan 27, 2019-

The Rockwell hardness tester is a very important part of the Rockwell hardness tester. It is divided into a diamond cone indenter and a steel ball indenter. The ball indenter is further divided into: 1/16, 1/8, 1/4. The 1/2 equal pressure head specifications are shown in the figure as the diamond cone indenter and the steel ball indenter. Rockwell Hardness Tester Note: Do not use worn or damaged indenters Rockwell hardness tester Diamond cone head Check the diamond cone indenter for damage every month. If the tapered surface of the metal body has many dents, the operator may have caused the ram to hit the hardened test rig. Check the indenter under a 10x magnifying glass and replace the indenter if there is significant damage. To avoid damage to the indenter, protect it with your fingers when removing the test bench and test piece. Rockwell Hardness Tester Ball Head Check the ball head damage every day. If there are signs of wear or deformation, the steel ball should be replaced. The method of replacing the steel ball is as follows: unscrew the inner pressure shell by rotation, remove the old steel ball, install the replaced steel ball, and screw the upper pressure shell, that is, the replacement of the new steel ball is completed.
